MoonRay is an MCRT renderer developed by DreamWorks Animation. It can be used to make story animations. It has been used in How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (How to Train Your Dragon 3), Trolls World Tour (Trolls 2) , The Bad Guys (Bad Guys Alliance), the upcoming Puss In Boots: The Last Wish (Puss in Boots 2) and other films.

MoonRay includes an extensive library of production-tested physically-based materials, a USD Hydra render delegate, multi-machine and cloud rendering via the Arras distributed computing framework. MoonRay supports the Arras distributed computing framework of DreamWorks, and uses some software components from Intel, such as Embree and ISPC.
