As the fifth maintenance release of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS is now available for download. This release incorporates all the security patches, bug fixes and application updates since the February release of Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS, but no new features.
No new features means that if you’re running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and have installed all available updates before Ubuntu 20.04.5 was released, you don’t need to reinstall 20.04.5 LTS. This release is for users upgrading from other LTS releases.
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS uses the Linux 5.15 kernel, and other software updates bundled with the new ISO include GNOME Shell 3.36.8, LibreOffice 6.4.7.2, and Mozilla Firefox 104, but not the Snap version.
Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS can be downloaded from the Ubuntu website. It is available as a 3.1GB ISO.
