Consent-O-Matic is a browser extension (for most Chromium-based browsers, Firefox and Safari) that recognizes a large number of CMP pop-ups.

For privacy, you may clear cookies when your browser is closed. So every time you visit the same website, you will receive the same cookie consent box. Consent-O-Matic is an extension that will help you submit the same information over and over again, and it would be nice to get you out of this predicament.

Since you have told it your cookie preferences when you install it, when it encounters these forms, it will automatically fill it out for you.

Since this is an open project initiated by the Centre for Advanced Visualisation and Interaction (CAVI) at Aarhus University, ordinary people can contribute by adding new rules, updating old rules, and even adding documentation to make this extension more accessible used by others.

Consent-O-Matic’s rules list is a JSON structure that contains rules for detecting CMP (Consent Management Providers) and processing CMP pop-ups when they are detected.

Each CMP is a named entry with 2 parts, detectorsand methods.
