LLVM 15.0.1 is released, this release contains the first fixes for LLVM 15.0.

LLVM 15.0 introduces a number of security mitigations while new C and C++ features are being developed for the latest specification, other changes include:

  • Experimental Microsoft HLSL/DirectX support,
  • RISC-V update,
  • More OpenMP 5.1 features,
  • HTTP server for debuginfod,
  • Initial SPIR-V returns -end integration,
  • AMDGPU GFX11 working
  • many random fixes,
  • clang format, test questions, and other changes.
  • Various other new compiler features.

LLVM 15.0.1 has 32 changes, a full list of LLVM 15.0.1 changes can be found at LLVM.org. The source code and binaries for LLVM 15.0.1 can be downloaded from GitHub.

According to the LLVM release cadence, LLVM 15.0.2 will be released within two weeks. The next major feature release, LLVM 16.0, is in development and will debut around March next year.
