The Kotlin team announced that Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile has reached the Beta stage and is moving towards stability. “Upgrading Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile to Beta means the technology is almost complete and safe to use in your projects. It also means we’re actively working to minimize any migration issues you may have.”
Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) is a cross-platform mobile development SDK created by JetBrains, it applies the multi-platform capabilities of Kotlin, developers can use it to share business logic in mobile applications, specifically through KMM on iOS and Android The same business logic code is used in the application.

- Google’s Android team shared a preview of the Kotlin multiplatform library in Jetpack. As part of this experimental preview, the libraries available are Collections and DataStore. Developers are looking for feedback on people’s experiences using these Jetpack libraries in multi-platform projects for Android and iOS applications.
- Touchlab has released KMMBridge as part of their Faktory tool suite. KMMBridge is a set of build tools that enables mobile teams to successfully publish shared code faster than ever using Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile. Specifically for iOS releases, teams can implement an internal SDK process approach, which is today’s best practice for rapidly integrating KMM into production app builds.

Officially,With Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile now in Beta and expected to become stable, now is a good time to start learning and adopting it gradually, as users won’t have to deal with major migration issues, and they’ll be provided with all the improvements needed for a stable release.
