Speeduino is a flexible, full-featuredengine management system(EMS). It provides the hardware, firmware and software components that make up the engine management system, all available under open licenses.

The various components that make up the system:

1. Speeduino board:This is the main body of the Speeduino ECU, containing all drivers and IO circuits.
2. Arduino:This is the brain of the Speeduino, containing the processor, memory and storage. It plugs into a Speeduino board to interface with the vehicle wiring, usually an Arduino Mega 2560.
3. firmware:This is the system software that runs on the Arduino board and powers its operation.
